The Time Period
The Wizard's Labyrinth takes place far back in time: around 950 AD. And thus, you have to keep that in mind, it is vital. Certain items have not been invented yet and certain things cannot be done due to the time period. Yes, we are going to stay historically correct.[/blockquote]
You Can...
- Take a bath. Yes. The Wizarding World created this themselves, a magical bathtub that produces water through a spout, however where it comes from, nobody is quite sure. In that sense, you may also use the toilet, if you for someone reason have the need to roleplay about that.
- Have transportation: brooms, boats, and trolleys. The Hogwarts Express is the most advanced form of transportation in the Wizarding World: it produces so much energy that this massive trolley can fly without too much suspicion.
- Get a job. Even if you are a woman. For some families, being a woman may be similar as it is back then, but it doesn't have to be. Although this is based in a far off time period, the roleplaying experience part doesn't have to be much different.
You Can't...
- Produce electricity of any sort. Not only has it not been discovered yet, it hasn't even been created. All sources of light come from fireplaces, candles, or lanterns. Absolutely no lightbulbs, flashlights, etc.
- Have iPod's, CD Players, etc. This has definitely not been created yet. Your source for music has to be live, on drums, strings, and other instruments.
- Have Cellphones or Computers. Communication can be used through the Owl Post, which is not only more fun, but it's easier as well.
The big thing you need to remember is that ELECTRICITY DOES NOT EXIST!
