Hogwarts Curriculum
[/size][/center]Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is determined to educate its students to the maximum ability. In order to succeed, students are required to take a number of classes to pass the grade and move up to the next level according to grade level.
All years must participate and pass in two required classes and one elective in order to move up to the next grade level, the next year, unless you want your character to fail.
In roleplay, however, your character's schedule is required to consist of the eight required classes, as well as a maximum of three elective choices.

Ancient Runes

Information: Classwork/homework includes plenty of practice interpreting runes. A mostly theoretical subject that studies the ancient runic scripts and languages of magic.

Information: Arithmancy is a branch of magic that is concerned with the magical properties of numbers; someone who practices Arithmancy is called an Arithmancer.

Information: Meets at midnight at the top of the Astronomy Tower. Essays for the theory portion involve learning a lot of facts.

Information: The study of what makes Aurors tick. This lesson usually just reading and writing about Aurors and some practicals which is ussually using Auror Technology such as Dark Detectors.

Information: Classwork will usually involve reading from the text, discussions on various spells, and practicing with a partner. In this class, you will learn about the dark arts, briefly how to defend yourself, and about the evil creatures that roam the Wizarding World.

Dueling

Information: In a way, the "sister" subject to DADA. Dueling is an all practical subject. These lessons are usually with a partner learning how to cast offensive and defensive spells. The spells taught can range from Flipendo to Expelliarmus.
